We had strongly considered euthanasia due to concerns about his quality of life, but we did not feel ready to let him go; we decided to try acupuncture to ease some of his pain and buy him a little more time with our family. From the very first moment, Dr. Falato was kind, professional, and treated our boy with the utmost care. She would bring yummy treats and calming music to the appointments. She earned his trust and he began to look forward to her visits! He was visibly happier and more mobile following many of his appointments, and we were able to make the most of the extra time with him. When we did decide it was the right time to say goodbye, we used an in-home euthanasia service and I believe Jayne felt no anxiety because the situation seemed familiar/similar to his acupuncture appointments. We had his bed set up in the same way, and he went right to it and laid down while we showered him with love and yummy treats; he had a very peaceful passing. Thank you Dr. Falato!
